REFLECTION

They say teaching is a noble profession. You are not only teach the students but you will serve as their second parent who will guide them and mold their personalities. Teach them moral values that will lead them to be a good individual in the future. .4th year is the last stage of journey before the students finish the course while some have five to six years. For education students, they will undergone one semester for practice teaching. The last level for an educator to finish the course for the new beginning to face the real world.
In my teaching in Binobong High School I had learned many things not only inside the room but also outside. As mathematics as my subject with the students, It was hard to make the students understand and absorbs all the things I teach them so I tried my best to make the subject easy for them. Because of off-campus teaching I experience teaching for almost three months. It gives me a lot of learnings with the help of my students and my two professional cooperating teacher who open my mind and support me in my difficulties in teaching.
As a pre-service teacher my time worth much and the experiences will keep in my heart as my initial investment in my chosen profession. I learned and gained a lot of knowledge and I know that when I become a real teacher I can use it and improve some of my not good experience in the school, inside the room. Not only the students learned but I did also.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
During my first semester in fourth year, I have in mind “How should I teach during the off-campus teaching?” I worried too much about that thing. Until the time has come for the fielding and now I am done with the off-campus teaching. I can’t imagine how I did it, how I survived.
In my two days my cooperating teacher was the one teaching and I just observed the way she teaches in her classes in Grade 8 and Grade 10. But because of our extension program, I got other Grade level. I asked help to my cooperating teacher to have a class in grade 7 which was the respondent of the extension program so I had one class in Grade 7. On my third day I experience teaching because my other cooperating teacher in Grade 7 leave so I was tasks to teach his class in Grade 7. I was too nervous at that time. Until the day that I was the one to teach the classes of my two cooperating teachers. I handled students which I don’t know when I first met them. Actually I felt scared with them because I thought they are not kind or they may harm me because they are numerous for me and they were taller than me. Even though sometimes I was nervous when I was in front of them, I manage to improve myself because of them. Outside the room they became my friends. I felt happiness when they gained knowledge from me. The school was far from my home with two rides so I wake up early everyday. In the morning I teach the students while in the evening before I sleep I made two lesson plans in Grade 7 and Grade 8 with prepared visual aids in every topic so I don’t have enough sleep everyday. Inside the room I have an experienced that even I was in front of them their attention was not on the discussions. In my class in one section in Grade 8 since the class was after the recess time most of the boys in that class entered my class late. One time same group of the boys of the same section went outside and go at the back of their classroom and was cutting their hair. There’s more when I was facilitating in the activity with one of the group in the activity, one student bump me. But all in all the experience was good.

WHAT WENT WRONG AND WHAT WENT RIGHT DURING THE OFF-CAMPUS TEACHING
In our case, we undergone 10 weeks of fielding for actual teaching. As my personal experience I can tell that practice teaching is somehow fun even though sometimes there are times when I felt difficulties because of my personalities which is far from being a teacher. This traits is my shyness. In a way where I am too conscious with my actions in that manner I prefer not to talk too much after my class. It is one of my weakness where I can’t have the power to make them do some of my instructions during my classes in two year level, 2 grade 8 and 1 grade 7. In fact in my daily observation sheets I can’t perfect the “does the teacher monitor and respond to student behaviour” because I was not used to giving punishments to my students who are noisy inside the room and keep on roaming and chatting with their classmates during discussions or I can’t manage the class very well. My other weaknesses are in my board work which does not facilitate learning because of my handwriting, not finishing my lesson in allotted time, forget to give praise to students during discussion and unable to give feedback to the students, my communication skills and don’t have my own made modules in teaching. But behind these negatives the I have learned a lot of things such is the content of my field of specialization I learned it by myself first so that I can teach it with my students, the ways in teaching and how to manage the class though I can’t implement it well.

SUMMARY OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS
In my 10 weeks of stay in the school Binobong High School. I teach 2 sections in grade 8 which are 8-Emerald and 8-Amethyst and 1 Grade 7, Grade 7-Jasper therefore I made a lot of visual aids everyday for each year level. I made 18 lesson plan for my class in Grade 7 and 27 for my Grade 8 classes. I made a 40 items test paper together with table of specialization in my Grade 8 classes, Emerald and Amethyst for their third grading examination also in my Grade 7 Jasper with Dominic Arco my co-student teacher who teaches physical science subject we two helped in making the table of specification and test question. I in making the table of specialization while him in making the test questions because he also teach the other Grade 7-Sapphire mathematics subject. Then I made again table of specialization and 50 items test paper for Grade 8 for their fourth quarter examination. I also accomplish making the grades of my students in both sections of grade 8. I input their grades in the Microsoft excel of Deped given by my cooperating teacher, teacher Irene. In classroom management, I have my classroom structuring in the room of grade 8-Emerald.
